Softgel food supplement capsule with natural beta-carotene from algae D. salina (provitamin A), naturally derived vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), natural vitamin E (D-alpha-tocopherol) and vitamin K2 (menaquinone-7) dissolved in MCT oil from coconut.

Would you like to improve your immunity and take care of the condition of your muscles, joints, and bones? Or maybe you are looking for a method to maintain healthy skin? Reach for a complex of four fat-soluble vitamins. Vitamins ADEK can support your body in many ways.

Each of the substances has specific properties – using them together can show synergistic effects. Vitamin A and vitamin D are responsible for the proper functioning of the immune system and also participate in the process of cell division. Meanwhile, vitamin D along with vitamin K helps to maintain healthy bones. Vitamin A contributes to maintaining the optimal condition of mucous membranes, supports skin condition and proper vision, as well as supports the proper metabolism of iron. Beta-carotene from algae – the most active isomer of vitamin A, provitamin and its basic source [1] – contributes to increasing the basic protection of the skin against UV radiation and positively affects its health and appearance [2]. Studies have shown that beta-carotene supplementation provides protection against sunburn [3] as well as skin damage and premature aging, even under conditions of intense sun exposure [4].

Vitamin D is essential for the smooth functioning of the immune system and maintaining healthy bones and teeth. Research suggests that the so-called sunshine vitamin may reduce the risk of infections [5] and also contribute to increasing bone mineral density [6]. Additionally, it supports the proper functioning of muscles by affecting their strength and neuromuscular coordination. It is also responsible for maintaining the optimal level of calcium in the blood and the proper use of calcium and phosphorus [7].

Vitamin E helps protect cells against oxidative stress. It belongs to the group of antioxidants – it is the most abundant fat-soluble antioxidant in tissues – and taking it supports maintaining balance in the body [8].

Vitamin K is involved in the process of proper blood clotting and has a positive effect on the condition of the skeleton. It has been proven that menaquinone-7 (MK-7) – one of the forms of vitamin K2 – has the highest bioavailability and can promote bone health [9].

Insufficient intake of vitamins ADEK can cause a range of undesirable symptoms. Vitamin A deficiency is associated with the occurrence of dry eye syndrome (xerophthalmia), night blindness, as well as an increased risk of respiratory and anemia diseases. Good sources of this vitamin are beef liver, fish, eggs, dairy products (e.g. cheese, yogurt), and green leafy vegetables (e.g. spinach). Vitamin A occurs in the diet in two forms: preformed vitamin A and provitamin A carotenoids. Beta-carotene [10] is one of the main carotenoids – you can find it in our supplement.

Too little vitamin D in the body can contribute to disturbances in bone tissue mineralization, which causes skeletal deformities and increases the risk of osteoporosis and osteopenia. Replenishing its deficiencies through diet is not easy, as few foods contain it. Sources of vitamin D from the sun are fatty fish (such as salmon, trout, mackerel, and tuna) and fish liver oils. This vitamin occurs in food and food supplements mainly in two forms: ergocalciferol (D2) and cholecalciferol (D3). Typically, it is obtained by exposure to sunlight [11].

Vitamin E deficiency is not common. Symptoms of inadequate intake of this youth vitamin include peripheral neuropathy, ataxia, retinopathy, and immune system disturbances. The best sources of this substance are nuts (such as hazelnuts) and seeds (such as sunflower seeds). D-alpha-tocopherol (the natural and easily absorbable form of vitamin E) can also be found in vegetable oils (such as soybean, wheat germ, and safflower oil) and green leafy vegetables (such as spinach) [12].

Vitamin K has two natural forms: K1 (phylloquinone) and K2 (menaquinone). Menachinone-7 (MK-7) is a highly bioavailable form of vitamin K2. Deficiency of this substance can lead to decreased bone mineralization and bleeding disorders. It occurs mainly in fermented foods (such as natto) and animal-derived products [13].

Vitamins ADEK are a combination of four substances: natural beta-carotene from Dunaliella salina algae (pro-vitamin A), stable and bioavailable form of vitamin D3 naturally derived from lanolin (Quali®-D), natural and most absorbable form of vitamin E (D-alpha-tocopherol), and highly absorbable vitamin K2 (K2VITAL®MK7). OSAVI’s ADEK vitamins come in easy-to-swallow soft capsules filled with MCT oil obtained only from oil produced from the fruit of the coconut palm tree (Cocos nucifera). In the recommended daily dose (1 capsule), which we recommend taking with or directly after a meal, there are 800 μg of vitamin A, 12 mg of vitamin E, 75 μg of vitamin K (100% RWS), and 1000 IU = 25 μg of vitamin D3 (500% RWS).

Why would someone benefit from supplementing with A D E K Vitamins?
